stimOS GmbH, based in Constance, researches and develops implant materials and implant surfaces. The company's research focuses on surface refinement and functionalisation, bioactivation, drug transport and next-generation implant materials.
The company is committed to faster and more stable healing of implants without inflammatory reactions or other complications. Consulting and assistance in research and development are also part of stimOS' expertise. The company also specialises in surface refinement procedures in which the desired combination of active ingredients can be applied to the implant "on demand".
In this, stimOS is supported by the Steinbeis Transfer Centre Nanostructures and Solid State Analytics and the NEB NANO Centre. The start-up was founded by three scientists from the University of Konstanz and a manager from the medical technology sector.
